Happy Thanksgiving

#1 Post by ROLAND » Thu Nov 27, 2014 3:23 am

Hey Guys... just wanted to jump in here and wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! While most of us have never met, we all share that one bond centering around our boats... old to new, small to large, fast to not so fast... we all love our boats and appreciate what they bring to our families... and as a result, and thru this forum, we kinda know each other a little bit as well... so Happy Turkey day...... God Bless.!

Happy Thanksgiving as well to all!
Son took the boat out this morning for brunch with friends and I'll hit the water tomorrow with family in town from Germany. Was 85 today (sorry, not rubbing it in) and should be the same tomorrow but we have some rain in the forecast for next week.

Kids are coming home tomorrow, wife and I are having a turkey cook off! I just started brining mine in 2 gallons hot water, 2 cups of Kosher salt, 1/2 cup diced onions, 1/4 cup on peppercorns, 1/8 cup crushed garlic, 2 tablespoons of chili powder and 2 tablespoons of Jamaican Jerk. After brining overnight, I'll rub it with Cookies Wings and things Hot sauce and into the Big Easy she goes! I'll tell ya who wins with the kids. So far her bird is just thawing out... I have this one nailed! He He!!!
