Which fishing seat mounts to use?

Well boys and girls here's a question for everyone. I received new fishing chairs for Christmas and will be mounting them on offset posts on my sun deck. Should I use 3/4 inch post or 3/4 inch threaded post or locking pin post, and should I use centered or offset base plates? Your advice and input is greatly appreciated and as always thank you in advance.

I just bought a project toon so I am speaking for my bass boat and what I plan on using in my project boat.......My bass rig has 3/4" threaded pins base which is what is the lock n pin. The base is 7" or 8" square and has 6 screws that attach to you deck. If you mount under your carpet they are almost invisible except for the pin hole. Either way they are fairly flush so they won't cause a trip hazzard. You can either use a threaded or non threaded seat 3/4" seat pole. The treaded gives you a nice solid pole, and the unthreaded will have a very slight play that you likely will not notice, but is still very stable.
good luck

Forgive my ignorance as my boat doesn't have fishing seats, but what is the benefit of the offset posts? What conditions would you need to use them?

It's to give you more leg room in my case the seat will be above the back of my back couch. When I rebuilt my boat I did not set it up to fish with but I find myself doing more and more fishing off of it. My front deck is way too small to fish from with a chair so they have to go on the rear deck.
