My 4s Yamaha is running sluggish and slow despite being in around 4 different repair places around here.
Anyone know of a knowledgeable, current repair shop in East Texas??
There seems to be no one around Shreveport. :hairpull

BLT... don't know if you're interested but the last time I had my benny serviced, it was by a guy that works from his garage at his home just north of shreveport... his name is dave ( don't remember his last name ). 2 years ago I was at a local gas station about 2 in the morning when this guy pulled up in a big bass rig and a 250 yamaha on the back end.. we got to talking and he told me that he always had his boat / motor serviced by Dave......so I had the guy Service my boat that spring... as far as cost, can't remember exactly, but he did the usual oil / filter changes, changed out the water pump, changed the spark plus, and he greased the fittings on my trailer's axle.. seems like he charged me around 325.00, but not sure about that... Like I said, don't know his last name, but his home is located off of highway one between Blanchard and Oil City..... I'll send you his phone number thru a pm. I'm actually going to call the guy myself in about a month or 2 and get my boat in for service and ready for spring.

It bogs down and starts running sluggish at higher speeds, and doesn't run as fast as it use to.
All the lines and stuff (hehe) have been replaced but nothing fixes it.

Wow, thanks for the extensive list Seon!
We did find a certified Yamaha guy and are suppose to pick it up tomorrow.
It was some small clog in a pump that didn't show up when tested - hard to find but they fixed, along with putting a new water pump, a new cover and cleaned her up. They took her out on the river and said she ran like a 'scalded dog'!!
Now I can't wait for spring.
Thanks everyone, Seon and Roland, for your help.
