I just got my boat back, had a new carpet fitted and all the upholstery redone. Looks like new, very pleased. Also had a custom cover made for the summer.
I plan to keep the boat at home as I have enough space, issue I have is determining the what the best options are for winter protection.
I would prefer a canopie that I can take down in the summer while the boat is in the water. I have looked at a few from Shelter Logic, but the reviews seem a bit negative.
I live in CT so get a fair bit of snow.
Any ideas, opinions would be much appreciated.

Have you considered one of the semi-permanent metal carports? They're relatively inexpensive and can be constructed in one day. The carports can be equipped with sides and the rear sealed to keep your boat really dry.

Your weather can be pretty tough in Winter, and anything portable might not have a long lifespan.

We purchased a piece of riverfront recreational property ourselves late last fall and I've of late been contemplating what we're going to do with it. We can't actually build on it due to flood plain regulations so we're thinking of getting a shelter tall enough to cover a camper year round with enough additional width to also store the boat under it in the off season.
This is the one I'm seriously looking at though I'd need one wider and longer than this 24x20x12 pictured (3000 complete less concrete). Maybe something similar would also work for your needs.

Those metal trusses with wood frame and tin roof really look stout. Is that home made or built locally?

It does appear sturdy doesn't it. I ran into this on a Craigslist posting and there is also a running list of models and styles available on a Facebook page. So as to you question I'm can't be sure at to weather this is a reseller or a manufacture but they ship out of southern W.V. near MH Hawker's neck of the woods.

And if you want to know how much concrete you'll need so you can get a quote, the formula for a 3.5" thick slab is length X width / 81. So, for example, a 20 foot by 30 foot pad would take 7.4 cubic yards of concrete (20 x 30 / 81 = 7.4). I've been paying around $104 a yard for concrete lately. Not sure how much forming and finishing labor is up to. (My company does their own labor.)

I still may look into it but west virginny is a fur piece from Texas. but I do like the looks of it!

I also would like more insight before I commit to this myself but on the appearance of the photo's it could be perfect for my needs.

It appears to be at Danville in boone county and if your really interested i can go by on one of my trips when i go down to Logan county, I go that way ever 3 months of so.

I do not make canopies from wood and steel but do make boat covers and other boat related, sewn items. I get stuck with a cover now and then, that a customer cannot pay for. I always just sell it for the balance. I have a 27 ft by 14.5 Sunbrella one now, if that sort of cover will help.
