I've installed several on different type of boats and the only hard part is to "snake the transducer cord along the gunwale.
I'll be installing a FF on my new to me Toon and on the initial inspection, it appears that it'll be a very easy install being that the cord runs on top of the starboard tube and straight up thru the deck just below the console.

If you are replacing one you can use the old units cable to the transducer for a fish tape.
Take care to mount the transducer so that at least the bottom half is below the water when running on plane.

I was able to install a used FF from a previous boat I sold.

The transducer has to be below the lowest part of the toon.

Once the pad has been drilled and ducer screwed in, then the cord has to be "snaked" above the toon and thru the existing wires/cables opening.

Here's a what I found under the console...a rat's nest that I had to clean up.

I connected the ducer cable to the FF and the power supply to the 12V source.

Turned on the FF to ensure everything was connected correctly and is now functional.

Install complete and now am ready to go fishing :biggrin2 .

I would be careful of mounting the transducer to low,it could be knocked off. I mounted mine a 1/4 " from the bottom of the pad as instructed and the three or so times I've had the boat out it has worked perfect.

You're absolutely correct. Install the ducer per mfr's instructions.
