So cold in Iowa...

I went to change the battery maintainer to my 2nd battery, as I lifted the sunpad, I just brushed the light pole and the aluminum bracket attached to the bimini top shattered. I had a spare from the old Manny and, of course, its different. The Premier is attached through to a dome light, so looks like I will buying a whole assembly. Then as I climb down from the boat, an overhead fluorescent light bulb shatters from the cold, waver on the ladder and I stick the screwdriver into my damn hand! Its too cold to try to do anything and when I do, do something, it ends up costing me blood or cash, and this time both! Come on summer!!!

My trucks dash this morning.....

I think I know what your problem is.

It's cold outside.

Instead of messing around with the boat or anything else mechanical that isn't inside a warm shed, you should be sitting back and nursing a hot cuppa coffee, hot chocolate, or Scotch on Rocks :drink , and snuggling up to Mama as she goes "Poor Baby, Poor Baby" and kisses your boo-boo'd hand.

As a matter of fact, I am inside now, watching the Daytona 500 on Bloody Mary#2 with a Spotted Cow chaser! The pain is almost gone! :biggrin2

Yeah.

Wifey and I are tired of this cold crap and are headed to a resort in Phoenix.

Supposed to be mid 70's for the few days we'll be there.

Then over to Waco TX to attend an orchestra concert our niece will be in at Baylor.

Has to be better than cold and snow.

Am enjoying three fingers of Famous Grouse as a "Night Cap".

Then I'm going in to see if Wifey wants to let me chase her around a bit under the covers. :alright

Night Ya'll.

It'll be about 65 degrees today here in San Francisco. We're returning from Hawaii after the last couple of weeks had 85 degree days.

We'll be leaving home every February of the future.

I'm so thankful that my relatives in 1815 decided to move South from New Jersey.

I hear you Bryden24SHP, this long, cold winter is hard to take. Just yesterday, as I let the dogs out just as the sun was coming up, I was out on our concrete patio and could feel just a little chill on my bare feet and I thought to myself as I stood there in some running shorts and no shirt I thought "wow, I should have put shoes on". I just hate winter.

Just having a little fun. Spring is on the way, and you'll be out on the lake in no time! Trust me, I do miss the Midwest sometimes and we make the 1400 mile trek from here to Lake of the Ozarks every year to spend time there. In February, though...... well, let's just say I like it here. You guys are tough, though. I no longer do so well in sub-70 degree temps. I know I would not do well in sub-zero temps. Stay warm, and Spring will bring relief to you guys soon!

The temp this morning was -17. I don't even know what the windchill was. On Saturday we got a break as it got up to 28 degrees and the sun came out! It felt great I was tempted to break out a lawn chair l.o.l.
