Lift configeration

I have had my nephews 2001 22' Bennington with 23" logs on my lift for the past year. We are considering buying a Bennington tritoon with 25" logs late this year. Will we have to modify the lift?

Chances are you'll be okay.

Depends.............on the capacity of the lift and type
If it is a cable lift or an air lift, I would want to make sure the boat is level on the lift since the majority of the weight is at the back of most toons, if the capacity is good just make sure you can pull forward to level the boat on the lift.
If it is an air lift, does it have stands or bunks? If it has bunks, try to support as much of the boat as possible at the back of the boat. If the bunks are too short, you will be putting stress on the toons that could eventually stress the tube and create a leak. Just don't ask me how I know!

Thanks for your responses! My lift uses cables and bunks. Weight should not be an issue as it has a electric motor on each side. Do I understand correctly that the center log will not need a bunk, it will simply be unsupported? The lift was designed to accominidate a 22' pontoon. Thanks again for your help.

If it were me, I would add the center bunk. All of the tri toons at our lake use the center bulk support. I have the stands on a air lift so mine is supported by the frame/floor.

My lift has a center bunk to support the middle log. Personally, I would do a center bunk.
