Does anyone have this package? I am considering buying a Bennington 22 with Yamaha 150 and am wondering if this might be a viable alternative to a tritoon. If I got this would I have to modify my lift which currently has two bunks set up for a conventional pontoon. Some of you may be wondering if this post comes from the same person asking questions about modifying his lift for a tritoon. Yes it is, I am exploring all options.

That's an excellent setup for certain things, but it really depends on how you're going to use the boat. The ellipticals perform exceptionally well in a straight line, provide good buoyancy, and give a very cushy ride at speed through wakes, rollers, and such. If you're leaning towards watersports, tubing, etc where turning is also a priority, then some of the 3 tube boats make more sense. The Premier PTX, Bennington ESP/SPS, and Manitou VP/SHP's are all 3-toon boats that bank in higher speed turns much like a runabout.
You might get more responses posing that question over on the Bennington Owner's forum. I know there are several owners with the exact setup you're considering.

The tritoons mentioned above are considered high performance tritoons. They're usually seen with 200 hp or more, and they're quite pricey to purchase and the larger motors are also a very expensive addition.
Every manufacturer has a tritoon boat that's usually rated for 150 hp or so. They're about the same price as the twin ellipticals--for less money. They're about 40 mph boats that handle pretty well. More of them are being sold than Bennington's twin ellipticals.
