Ok, my wife and I have pretty much picked the boat and picked colors -- Bit now the question is whch scheme and color canvas? Any thoughts from the gallery?

Also, which is less lelely to show dings or scratches and is easier to keep looking nice -- lighter or darker colors?

Both look great, but I like the darker (2nd pic) better. On the downside, if boats are similar to cars/trucks, the darker would show more scratches and dings.

Black shows every bit of dirt. How much cleaning do you want to do? lol. The darker canvas will eventually show fading from the sun more than the light one.

Both very sharp looking. I had a South Bay that was majority black. The Excursion I bought last year has very similar colors to your examples (champagne and black). My vote is your number 1 option because the more black, the more cleaning work.

I like the black but more work for sure. I went to many boat shows this here and I heard alot of comments about tan ish interiors looking outdated, and I'd have to agree.I personally prefer the lighter the better of course many will disagree.

I'd choose the second picture above. My own is black with black accents, black biminis, and tan vinyl flooring. Interior is dark tan. All insignia and lettering is chrome.

I like the second one better. Also, the black top gives it a nicer contrast, richer looking and doesn't looked so washed out...
Of course, I'm somewhat partial as we just got a Pearl White and Black Berkshire with Gray Teak (vinyl) full floor, Gray two tone seats, and a Black Bimini Top.

Since you chose black top, is there a way to keep the colors from fading in the sun? I have a blue Bimini and I would like to treat it with some thing preventative like 303 fabric guard.

I've had great success with the 303 Vinyl Protector, so i would expect their fabric product to be good as well.
