Hello guys, First post and just sold my big bow rider today and ready to start shopping for my first pontoon. I've been reading for days and sure I'll have lots of questions. But first of all I would like all recommendations for Pontoon dealers that have alot of inventory to look over. I'm in Orange Park Florida (clay county) but do not mind driving for hours to see whats out there. I know there's alot of pontoons up around Atlanta N.Georgia area. I'm open for any suggestions . Thanks in advance........

Welcome aboard!

I suggest driving down to Astor Marine in Astor, all pontoons. Probably 1.5 hours south of you. Monica and Don Connolly sold me my Landau in 98. Still have it. I met them at the Jacksonville Boat Show at the Prime Osborn Center. Can't say what brands they are selling now. There is also another pontoon dealership directly across SR 40. You may want to have lunch at the Blackwater Inn there in Astor on the St. Johns River. Decent chow, million dollar view.

You are going to love 'tooning here in Florida. The place was made for pontoons.

Three things to look for:

1. Tritoon - smoothest ride.
2. Lifting strakes - you really want these!
3. Underskinning - you CAN do this yourself.

We bought our boat in Panacea, FL. They have the G3 line. We have been happy with our ride.

Thanks Friz , I did a dealer locator for Sylvan and Astor marine was my closest dealer to me, and Millers in Ocala. The Sylvan is one of the toons on my list to check out. At this point Im trying to learn as much as possible. Has anyone did any business with either of these dealers recently. Thanks
