Looking for performance info on the 22' Sun Tracker XP3 Tri-Toon with 150 Merc.

I'm thinking of upgrading from my 22' DLX w/90 and want to know if the performance increase will be worth the increased cost?

Currently can pull about 28-30 MPH with just the wife and I. Only around 18-20 with a full load. (6 adults 3 teens)

I personally bought the 24 xp3, but we did test drive a 22 xp3 with the 150 mercury. The boat handled really well and felt very stable. Very quick out the hole and with 7 people onboard it topped out at 38 mph. I was impressed and would have bought it but needed and wanted the 24 for the extra room. The only thing we noticed was with a slight chop and full trim the lifting strakes sounded like a flat bottom boat. That was my only concern but with more time on water I am sure a correct trim would stop the feeling. Hope this helps. Robert

I was looking at the same Tracker toon but opted for the Lowe SS210 with triple toons and 150 HP Mercury. Both are very similar but my price point out the door with Lowe was much better. Plus I needed a galvanized trailer Tracker did not offer. You can expect 37/38 mph like Drifter stated. The boat will not bank in to turns like the triple with the lower center toon. I kind off miss that on my Lowe but has not created a problem with my boating needs.
Good Luck & Happy Memorial Day!
