In a few years, it'll probably do it that way again.
Sucks.
Glad things are charged up and working now though.

I'm working on switching over to 2 31 series AGM's. Working overtime to pay for them. That's a fast 500 bucks, gone in a flash.

Wish it was that kind, too!

Dang, that's odd to have them all go at once! Did you take a lightning strike?

Just so you know, DieHard Platinum AGMs are re badged Odyssey batteries. Keep your eyes open for sales that Sears has them on every once in awhile. I have 2 in my Wellcraft Cuddy cabin boat.
Secret to having batteries last is never discharge past 50% and ALWAYS, completely charge them back up as soon as possible after after discharge.
Never discharge starting type batteries past 20%.

And 50 % State of Charge on a 12 volt battery is not 6 volts either.....
50 % SOC is 12.10 volts with 100 % SOC being 12.73 volts....
Every time you pull your batteries down past 50 % SOC you are hurting their longgivity....

The ones I had on my camper were 2 6v golf cart batts they lasted 8 years and gave up, I was quite happy with those. The 2 troll mt batts 12 v in series to give me 24v for the 70lbs troll mt. one was for sure bad 6 yrs old . The start batt for the 60hp merc was still ok but what the hell it is only money, it was 6 years old.

Just ordered a pair of Optima Blue Top AGMs. I know I could have gotten cheaper batteries but I want to not have to worry. When I got my toon it came with 2 mismatched batteries. One finally died completely and the other barely holds a charge so it was time. I liked the reviews and the fact that they're a starting/deep cycle combo, even tho some say such a thing doesn't exist. Not trying to start any wars, just felt they would work well for me...

Not all blue tops are combo.
I have a pair of optima blue top starting only batteries sitting in the garage right now. Expensive mistake.

True, the blue tops with the gray case are starters only. I had to compare and dig a bit to make sure I got the right ones.

I've had enough problems with optimas (early death) that I would never consider buying one ever again. Ever. Never.

Agreed. I would never buy an Optima. Only Odyssey.
