GRILL MOUNT FOR LESS THAN 10 dollars

#1 Post by Themacdadt » Fri Jun 05, 2015 4:48 pm

I did not want to spend the money on one of those expensive grill mounts so I made my own and thought I would share with everyone.

If you have the fishing seats that mount on a pedestal up front like me or anywhere on the boat, you slide the seat up off the pedastal by loosing the knob. Then you put a 2 inch p.v.c coupler over the 2 inch pedastal which is a nice snug fit, then 2 foot ( or however high you want it) into that coupler, then you go to Home Depot and buy a toilet like flange drain plate with a 2 inch reducer to go on it, that flange has holes and slots all arround it to mount to the grill of your choice, then you slide that on your pipe going to the pedastal. And your done for under 10 dollars.

Worked great for me and the grill is very sturdy.

The heat hasn't affected it yet?

I am a confessed COB myself,,, I like to make things work for nuttin,, But besides the heat issue, I like my grill over the edge of the boat so the splashing/dripping grease, or most of it goes in the lake and not my carpet,,, :donno
let use know how that works out during use,,

I was going to use one like the previous poster but it would have contacted my snap on cover so I made my own

The Ez fenders drilled this way would have worked better but Bryan didn't have this direction drilled when I made mine.

I made this bracket reversible so you can grill from the dock side.
