I am a little late posting these but I made it down to the lake on Memorial Day Friday to check on things and do some work since Memorial day weekend was going to be a washout...(it was) The lake is currently 11 ft high with a lot of drift.. some fishermen are braving the logs though...Pic below. The boat cover had another pool in it! glad I brought the pool pump again, but this time a rip in the cover as well. The inside of THE FLOATER was trashed with pollen and tree crap, leaves and mold. While the pool pump was getting rid of my new pond I started digging a trench for my new electrical run. Before heading home early Saturday dodging sprinkles, I spent 2 hours cleaning her up with my new 303 kit from PS, I added the new bimini strut clips I got for my Bday as well. I decided to use cut tennis balls and put them on the end of my poles until I get pvc poles made. (tip from this forum) Thanks! Hopefully my duct tape job on the rip holds. The biggest difference is I ended up realizing if I doubled the side straps on the cover it would be higher up the sides and make a higher pitch. BINGO! It's been 3 weeks and the neighbors say it is still high and dry.

The forecast for this weekend more damn rain and we were hoping we could dodge the floating trees to at least get to the closest cove, but looks extremely doubtful. At this rate with shitty weather and high water it may not be till the 4th before we get in the water.

I wouldn't even think about getting out when the water is high like that and all the logs and debris floating around. On our lake, they were going to start issuing $500 fines if you are caught on the water after dark. They were hoping this would deter boaters from being out at dark when they can't see the debris -- cuz lake patrol would not want to have to come out there in the dark to rescue you. We have dropped 7' so far, but still 8' above normal. At least now we can get out on to our dock without having to use the pedal boat to get there!

Perry is up over 18 feet above normal, and we can't even get to where the boat ramps should be. I'm out of town this weekend ( no loss, as it looks like rain every day) and I'm hoping that by the 20th, the lake is down far enough to use.

This is the latest we have ever been in getting on the lake, and that includes the year we bout the boat, which was on June 10th...

I saw where Perry shut down all their ramps. And left 2 camping areas open. I thought that was funny!

My lake is only 9 feet low from full pool - the highest it's been in 4 years! YAY!

I feel your pain my friend. Ft. Gibson is still up 20 ft , down from 27. Still all screwed up , most of the ramps are closed and it just sucks. Boat is high and dry in the slip on the lift. Too damn bad we haven't been able to use it for over a month. Was planning to go this weekend and guess what...rain all weekend. When it rains it pours....

Red river out of it's banks here in shreveport / bossier... water was everywhere.. I've lived here 29 years and never seen water this high... Major highway was closed in both directions due to the fact that the water had crossed all 4 lanes... hundreds of homes with 4 to 5 feet of water in them... it's terrible... Thank god the water level has started to at least start to go back down, even if it's only a little bit so far....and of course.. MORE RAIN FORECASTED...

I feel your pain man. Our lake just got back down to normal levels, but rain is forecasted for the next week.

You think we have it bad now? Just wait until the lakes finally DO open. The ramps will have an hour wait in line, and the lakes will be packed with every ski boat within a 100 mile radius. I have a feeling it is just going to be one of those years for boating. I bet the fall will be nice though.

Curtis - I thought you installed one of those metal carport thingies to keep the Floater out of the weather? In any case, it sucks big time.

On the other hand, I'm glad to see that Truman is working as advertised.

Now we're only about 3 feet from full pool! I've never seen our lake full! But geez, is there a lot of lumber floating down from up-river!

Joe Pool Lake in Texas is 13' above conservation level. All launch ramps and parks around the lake are closed due to the high water levels.

Joe Pool Marina, where I keep my pontoon, is severely damaged. The dock poles for all the docks were too short for flood stage so all the docks came loose. The docks are now all at the end of the cove where the marina is located. No telling when the operator will repair everything and make our boats available to us again. Yet he wants full marina fees during the period we can not access our boats.

The manager said it might be October before things are repaired enough to allow access to the boats, if it stopped raining. Which it hasn't.

So right now we are not allowed access to our boats and can not remove them from the marina to take them elsewhere.

And the sad thing is that the marina operator was warned by the Park Service a month before the rains came that the dock poles on my dock were too short to secure the dock. So he added two feet to the poles of the walkway leading to our dock as his solution to the problem.

So I certainly say "Damn this Weather!" And the marina operator as well, who did not fix the problem when he was warned there was a problem.

We are giving it a whirl, today. Been on vacation and it hasn't been wet, yet. Water looks like chocolate milk. Is higher than hell. Lots of small crap floating down, the full trees and limbs are downstream of us now. Should be safe to go. We're just gonna idle around for a few hours and take it easy. No summer shandy bottles should interfere with the throttle, this time, either. But, I doubt if it gets pushed too far forward.
