The time has come...I feel comfortable enough with the new boat to start cruising into the evening, and putting it back on the trailer at night. What are your suggestions for a pair of aftermarket LED Docking Lights that are actually bright and WATERPROOF?
I only have 1 battery, so LEDs are a must.
I don't want to spend upwards of $150, but you do get what you pay for...
What lights are y'all running on the fronts of your boats? Which ones should I avoid?

I just purchased some Cree LED lights from Amazon, they were fairly cheap at $20 for a pair. They had 4.5 out of fire stars so I figured I would give them a try. I haven't put them on yet but plan to the first part of next week. The old halogens on the front pulled to much power and weren't very bright so I'm hoping these are a lot better! I'll post again as soon as I get them hooked up and try them out!

Maybe the link will work...me and computers don't get along very well.

Thanks man...maybe I'll give them a try. My only concern is that they're definitely not waterproof even though the specs say they are. And I use my boat exclusively in salt water. Let us know how they work out for you.

I've had good luck with the Chinese rigid knockoffs on Amazon, but they are hit or miss some leak. Genuine Rigid brand lights (they make a marine series) are your best bet if you really want relaible tough lights, but they push your budget up. It all depends upon how reliable you want them to be and how much you have to spend. I have two sets of the lights listed by the previous poster, one set leaked terribly and the other has been fine but these are backup lights on my truck. I have Rigid driving lights and they are nigh and day better but they are much more expensive.

I bought a set from Overtons/Gander Mountain. They've worked great. Even with no moon, I drive my boat to within 10 feet of my slip, purely on GPS, then switch on the lights for the last little bit.

Try Super Bright LEDS I have used their stuff on both boats and vehicles and found it works very well

Well I got the lights mounted on Monday and tried them out on Tuesday. We took a trip across the lake for dinner, unfortunately we didn't get to stay out as long as I wanted to. It just started getting dark as we were pulling up to the dock so I turned on the lights and they worked great. They were plenty bright enough for loading the boat up. I'll try to remember to update you about how waterproof they are but we took a few splashes up on the front of the boat (we had a few "husky" friends with us) and so far they don't have any water in them.
