Anyone have a Weber Q series portable grill mounted on their boat?

Just trying to get some ideas..... already have the grill and use it and now want to use it on the boat.

We have one and love it. It cooks evenly and does well even in a breeze. After having several different grills and mounting them several different ways over the last 25 years of boating, we simply bought the collapsible rolling cart for the Q and set it up in front of the port door between the couches.

I like that idea... you could also throw that cart on the beach and use it there also.

At 10,000 feet elevation, a weber-q will not put out enough heat to cook meat. We dumped one after trying it at that elevation.

Unfortunately, we DO boat up to that elevation (Turquoise Lake, Leadville, CO).

Plus one for the Weber Q. I also use the rolling foldable cart, fits great between the front seats on my party cruiser. I use the Q200 with plenty of space for burgers an dogs for everyone.

I highly recommend that Cuisinart grill, but more over the stand they sell. The way the stand folds up, and what it does, someone actually thought it out.

If interested just a heads up, the new 33? grill they sell, just sits on top, the locking features will not work on the present stand they sell.

Since we use our boat for more than just grilling we didn't want to hard-mount a grill, so we use a travel grill like this:

We have it straddle our Yeti 35 cooler and bungee strap it to the railings. It doesn't take up any more floor space than our current Yeti does by itself and we can use the grill elsewhere like on the shore or a campsite as well.

I'd like to add a small grill to our pontoon. I had been thinking something that would mount on the rails, but now I'm thinking that grill on a stand is the way to go.

That Cuisinart setup looks good, but really seems kind of like overkill for my use. I was thinking of something more camp sized that takes the little can of LP so that I don't have to bring a whole 20lb tank on the boat.

I've got to search to see if there are more threads with other grill ideas.
