Bow Thrust

The Sacramento Delta wind really blows hard in the afternoon which makes it very difficult to berth the Toon in her slip so I'm thinking about a bow thrust on my 28’ Party Hut. I ran across this that appears will do the job with a forward and reverse thrust. Should be an easy mod to fabricate a telescopic shaft to raise and lower accordingly.

Yeah, I used my trolling motor as a bow thruster.

Works pretty good.

And in Kansas on a windy day (most days are windy) it's helpful.

A wireless troll motor on the bow would be the ticket. An I-pilot can hold on position as long as you have battery power and it can act as a bow thruster for tight or windy situations.

They even have one that will self deploy with the remote and you only have to go to a motel six and sell a kidney to get one.

I just put a riptide I -pilot on the Knot Normal, when my kidney grows back I may get a link to connect it to the hummingbird.

A toon model would be swell, it could hide under the deck and deploy, and wouldn't take so much room on deck.
