Tis the season for winterizing. I have just over a 3/4 tank of gas. Its an internal gas tank and I put the treatment in it at time of fill up......in April.

I store her wrapped and outside during winter.

Is it still recommended to add the stable?
Also do i have to top off the tank before i do that?

Anytime is a good time to add Marine Stabil even if it was treated previously. All but impossible to overdose... Best to add treatment then add more gas and/or drive/trailer the boar around to get it well mixed...

What type of treatment are you speaking of? Stabil in itself is a gas treatment.

If you use ethanol, use the Stabil Ethanol treatment. No other treatments are needed. I would muff the lower unit and run it on a hose to circulate the treatment through the fuel system. I always pour it in before my last boat ride of the season.

Yep, except I use Startron blue in every tank, top it off for the winter with the recommended dose.

I've heard/read good things about Startron... Myself I'm a long standing fan for Stabil for nearest to 30 odd years. I tend to use my boat a lot for the five 2-week hitches of boating weather during my time off of ship as I find myself filling up my 32 gallon tank at least once and likely twice each time off ship. I try to remember to add Stabil each time I ger her filled up.... I do the same for my mowers, snow blowers (before we moved) as well as my bike...

Any opinions on Seafoam additive as a stabilizer? I'd not used it before, but just added a can of it to my full tank, ran it an hour or so then parked it for the season. Last season I used Quicksilver stabilizer which seemed to work well. I use only ethanol free gasoline.

That would be my pick.

I buy Seafoam by the gallon. Every fillup gets it along with mower, trimmer fuel.

I used the fuel treatment brand Lucas from menards

I put it in time of fill up since it the gas has ethanol in it

Lucas Fuel treatment is a light end oil which in truth is the basic ingredient in just about all fuel treatments... It most certainly will not harm your engine. But it has no stabilizing agents which products such as Stabil do. These agents actually help slow down the aging process in gas so I would still be looking to add some before winter storage....
