Improving my stereo.

I know most of you could care less about an upgraded stereo. But I'm proud of my build so far.
Added Rockford Fosgate equipment.
A set of PM282HW for the tower speakers
A 12" Sub P3-1X12
And some power for them. I built a quick amp rack to keep everything tidy and easy access to settings. I should have it done this weekend. I'm ready to test her!!

I don't know too much about high end stereo equipment but I do know a little bit about electronics... That is a very nice and clean build, very good work. And with capacitors (I believe...) that look like large thermoses and wiring that looks like garden hoses, I think you will be able to hear your music OK this coming season. In fact, I may be able to hear it OK too in North Jersey. Good luck and nice work.
Sincerely,
Rich

Looks good, bet it will sound great.
The stock speakers on my Sylvan will be helped with a subwoofer (Bazooka Tube).

It will fit just right, behind the driver's seat. There's just not enough bass from the stock speakers. Music sounds "tinny" and the subwoofer will fix that. No, I don't like heavy bass and rap 'sound'...

WOW, nice work. Are you still slipping your boat? I see Donny is building another 10 dry storage

Why is that? Were they defective? I'm not looking to add extra amplifiers, just some added low end to the two stock speakers.

so this may be a dumb question, but what does the round capacitor do on the side of the rack?

The Cap stores the juice so when the amps need to draw a lot of power all at once to for bass it doesn't starve the rest of the electrical system of power for that brief second.. Keeps everything running smooth

Very nice setup.. Where are you gonna store the amp rack? Would also like to see pics of the sub and where its gonna be.

Still a work in progress. I have 1/0 cable from the amp rack to the 3 batteries. The sub is going to be finished this week. I have to fiberglass the box and make the front for the vinyl wrap.
lakerunner696, I do still slip there. Pulled it home for maintenance and upgrades. I have a camper there at the Timbers now as well. Makes it nice.
joe20toon, Nothing was wrong with them. 2 10's took up alot of room and didn't give me what I wanted.

Great build and there some of us that crank it up on the water.
I went with free air sub right behind me. Had two in the Fountain I had, and 6 wakeboard speakers like you used. Love them. Good choice.
Used the stock stereo 4 ch hooked to two speakers firing out the back and two firing off the front so I have music in the water on both ends of the boat swimming killing a beer. Used the low pass, hooked to a 1100W 5ch kicker under the dash, runs 4 LJ Audio and that Kenwood free sub for inside the boat. Picture is right behind Captain chair so its all the bass I need. Have it on a switch where I can turn the amp on and off. .
You did a heck of a build on ladder build. You know we need a video of all that. LOL
I use to honda 1000eu plugged into the battery charger when we're parked if going to use the amp much.

Your workmanship looks great and I'm sure your components are as well. I just hope your not planning on becoming one of the jerks like on our lake that think every house, dock, or cabin on the lake wants to hear their music blasting 24/7. Because of the ski/wake boats and their tower speakers, noise pollution is becoming a real problem. I've been told the county sheriff and the state boat cops are going to increase writing tickets this year and it can't come soon enough for us property owners.
