Running cables through console

I recently purchased a fish finder for the toon. I am going to mount it on the console so I will need to drill a hole or two to run the cables for power and the transducer. What would be the best way to seal the hole(s) to keep water out? Has anyone used the cable clams from Blue Sea or the Scanstrut deck seals?
Thanks

On my Humminbird the cables went down through the unit mount. It was sealed by the mount itself.
As far as running the cables through the deck, I used the same hole that all the other cables (power, lights, steering) went through. It was sealed by expanding foam, so I just dug enough of the existing foam out to push the cables through and then resealed with more foam.
