My wife and I moved to Cleveland Ohio last year from Nashville TN. I never got a chance to take the toon from Nashville to Memphis like I wanted but I recently realized you can take the Ohio river from Cincy to Louisville. I am in the planning stages on scheduling a round trip, maybe a guys only trip with my brother and a friend or two. It's only 130 miles and I figure we can easily get it done in 3 days of travel tops, with some stays overnight at various places. Anyone have any info on the route or what type of trip I can expect? Thanks in advance.

Many of the industrial waterways of the country are just not that beautiful and enjoyable to travel. I don't know what the Ohio River along the border of KY/IN/OH has to offer.
The Lower Mississippi River the Ohio River junction is one of those places that's just not good cruising. You've got to deal with tugboats and their tows, and there are just not that many marinas and places to get away from the commercial river traffic. The river current is fast, and parking the boat for the night is difficult. You just have to be careful on such waterways.
We live on the Tennessee River 2 hrs. south of Nashville, and our river's the #1 river cruising in the U.S. It really spoils us by having 650 miles of incredible navigable river our our front door. It's nice to have many state parks, hotels and marinas along the way to stop in, and the mountain scenery is just beautiful. It would be a preferable place to do any river travel.
