Just put a new to me 90 Merc on my Grumman tritoon. It came with 2 new COMPROP composite props. Anyone have any experience with this prop on a pontoon? TIA

Composite isn't that a fancy word for plastic? LOL
Originally designed as an inexpensive "get home" prop but later 4-blade versions are said to be suitable to full time duty..
If the pitch is suitable to your needs I'd at the very least give it a go; if you bang it up you just throw it away...

Sounds like something to replace and keep in the boat as a backup. A good aluminum prop's cheap.

I dont know Bamaman. After reading some reviews it sounds interesting from a performance standpoint unless you hit something really hard. Better hole shot and top end than aluminum. Four blade for better turning. Hope to try it out next day or two.

They are used a lot on rental boats.
