Looking for a fishing rod storage holder for our pontoon.

I would like to store a couple of fishing poles on our pontoon. I see many storage units but didn't know if there was one that worked well on a pontoon?

I didn't want to drill into our new boat so u had a conundrum when I wanted a rod holder. I took a three rod holder from academy and drilled four holes at the corner and used suction cups with the metal hangers to mount it by my captains chair to the paneling. The cups are 5 lbs each and have held up so far with two smaller rods and a boat hook. The hook rests on the ground and I have it low enough my trolling rigs should rest on the ground as well. I've played around with using two double suction cup handles from harbor freight for heavier loads.

If you want to mount it to the door you could take some aluminum flat stock and bend it to hang over the door or rails which should hold up.

I used these to mount to the inside of the playpen spaced and mounted vertically where there was an open area long enough to accommodate rods. The only caveat is the double sided tape isn't strong enough. I used silicone adhesive and held them in place with masking tape until the silicone set up . I put 4 rods in them and they seem to work well for what I need.

Before I went to a power bimini I tie wrapped these same holders to the the bows on the top and hung the rods from the ceiling. That also worked well. I may try to adapt to my power top for extra rods...just haven't gotten around to it yet. With the power top you loose a set of bows so I don't know if I can do it or not.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
