Raise seats off the floor?

I installed the spacers to raise the rails/fencing from the floor, which should work very well for washing the brand new vinyl flooring after each excursion. What are your thoughts on raising the seats off the floor? Please chime in and say your opinion, your thoughts, and your experience with using these spacers to raise the seats or some other product to raise the seats or why they should NOT be raised at all.

I definitely see a reason to raise them if I had carpet (ventilation and drying). But wouldn't it be beneficial for vinyl as well so sand doesn't accumulate and for drying below the seats? I wonder why the seats bases are manufactured with flat bottoms instead of base channels to allow water to escape from under the seats and for proper drying...

Everyone please share your thoughts.

My boat came with raised fencing & seats which makes sense to let the water run off to the sides and air dry.

I changed from carpet to vinyl and did not raise the seats. My rails are raised with spacers. I have no problems with my set up and would not want spacers under the seats. I think they would trap a bunch of leaves and other crap that you would never be able to get out (unless you unscrewed the seats and moved them).
