White vinyl vs red candy

#1 Post by brianD » Tue Aug 16, 2016 6:35 pm

Well, was out having a great time at Kentucky lake (I just cant bear to type KY Lake... ewww) with the grandkids, and one of the little buggers snuck on some kind of red candy or something and now there's a pink stain on my white vinyl. :censored I've tried Simple Green, Awesome (not full strength) and a Magic Eraser and I still have a pink spot where the candy sat.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks/concoctions/snake oil that might do the trick without destroying the vinyl?

Of course none of the little snots admitted to it, and none of them ratted the others out. I guess I'll still keep them but they know now that NOTHING red that goes in your mouth goes on my boat. :nono

Might try a mixture of bleach and water.

Try isopropyl alcohol or Hair Spray.

It works on ink, might work on your mystery stain.

You may want to try a white permanent marker in an attempt to cover it rather than to caustic of a cleaner that may also destroy the seat. Example: Sharpie Mean Streak Marker, White

Are you sure it wasn't sun lotion? My friends seats are all streaked pink from it, He can't get it out.

Not sure how to fix the stain... But water boarding works well to figure out who the culprit was...lol
