Guys, I need to find a replacement nose cone for a 23" diameter pontoon on an older boat. See the style in the picture, besides getting lucky on craiglist any ideas? It's for a friend who will weld it on himself.

what is exactly wrong with it? if its just the splash fins I would clamp a 2x4's on both sides and and bend it back into place which MIGHT crack a weld but usually not. If it does crack that any decent aluminum welder should be able to weld em' up.

The damaged cone is not the one pictured-the damaged one is "smashed" like a soda can and it would be much easier to just replace the cone.

Toons being produced today are done with high tech welding/bending machinery.

However, the only way to build a nosecone is by hand, and it's a very specialized process.

If you can find someone with the skills and experience to build a nosecone, it'd still have to be built and purchased in pairs. And I have no idea, other than the original manufacturer, who could do such a job. And then it'd have to be welded in place properly.
