When I bought this boat at the end of summer the "standard equipment" live well under a seat was always used for storage and all that was left was the drainpipe & bulkhead fitting in a bag. My question is how did this ever work with no obvious place for a pump? The kind I see on other 'toons has a bilge pump in a submerged bracket on the end of one of the logs. Mine doesn't have any brackets.

There should be a long pipe coming up from what would be the drain hole so you can keep a level of water in the tank. look around the upper edge for a spigot of some kind like in this photo.

My question was how does the water get in the well when it looks like there's no place to mount a pump.
Are owners suppressed to fill it with a bucket? The live well was standard equipment but there's nothing in the owner manual about it.

The pump attaches to the rear of one of the pontoons. PVC, etc. tubing connects the pump to the live well...

I think he's saying none of the plumbing hardware and pump is on his boat.

Live well was prolly installed, but fishing package wasn't optioned out.

Agreed, it was probably cheaper for the manufacturer to equip all models with the tank which can double as a storage area than have two different storage boxes to put in there.

Well how stupid is it for a manufacturer to include a live well as "standard equipment" but not even include a place to mount the (optional) pump?

The dealer here in Florida knew I wanted the "storage area" in front of the console to be a functioning live well. The boat came in without the plumbing to work the live well. There was a drain hole and filler tube installed. He tried to convince me to use it as a "fish box" instead of a functioning live well. They fixed their mistake... I have three live wells and, most likely, will never use all three but, the option is there... That storage area is the largest of the three.
