Boat lift on river

I recently purchased a new sylvan 21 ft pontoon. I have the opportunity to purchase a slip on the river where I also have my camper stored. What type of lift would I need? Many other people have lifts and I won't get the spot if I can't get a lift for it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of lifts do the others have around there? There are different types.

We're spoiled to having fixed frame boathouses with 4" steel poles driving 42" into the ground to bedrock. Most have recently been poured concrete decks and poured concrete above the boats. Our water only goes up and down 3', so we're fortunate.

Just to understand this. You can purchase a slip but it does not have a lift and you would like to install a lift? Does the slip have power?

Come to think about it I've never observed a ordinary boat lift on a river and ain't sure it would be advisable or even if a person could make one work. Our river is below flood stage but nine feet over summer levels right now which means any lift would have to have a whole lot of height capability to cover water levels it could be subjected to.

I'm thinking for this reason a floating lift would be the most feasible in this application. Either a drive on lift like a jet dock...they sell some that you can customize for use with a tritoon or pontoon. A air lift that attaches to the dock and lifts the boat out of the water would also work well in this application depending on the current in the river where he is at.

You shouldn't need power, I have a D.C. Lift, battery, and solar charger and never once had an issue.
