Wet deck cure

#1 Post by GGALVIN » Sat Mar 18, 2017 8:21 am

My Princecraft pontoon gets a large wet spot mid floor caused by water splashing up when running down the lake.
Anyone fasten aluminum sheets to braces to keep water splashing up on underside of plywood? To me, it is a design flaw - sooner or later the plywood will rot out from getting soaked. Any other solutions? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the plastic splash guards? If not you might try them. Not too cheap though.

I would lay a heavy bead of silicone where wood meets the cross member and cover it with the splash guard.
