Need some help with my OB Evinrude 65 . Decided to get the boat ready for the season. tried to start it today, and all Im getting is the click from the Solenoid (which I replaced last year) . thought it might be the battery, so I bought a new one..nope,just a click. ok, pulled the starter off, and tested it straight to the battery and it works. so Im a little puzzled. new battery, solenoids workin, but the starter doesnt when its all hooked up... not sure what else it could possibly be.

also, just to point out, I have never been able to find the safety switch on this thing..theres no lanyard, no switch of any kind other than the key/throttle/choke lever. everything worked fine last year. so, being able to check that is also a puzzle,since theres not one. and, even if there was...doesnt the motor still turn over,just no fire if the safety is pulled?

well..figured it out already...its the noid...even though Im gettin the click from it... I bypassed it anyway while it was on the motor and the starter worked.. sucks..just replaced that thing last year
