Hello,

When I'm driving I find I need to keep the trim 90% of the way down in order for the boat to ride flat/level. If I were to trim it up to mid-height, the front of the boat rides way up in the air and I can't see properly over the front of the boat without standing.

What does this mean for my motor height?

At rest, the boat sits quite a bit lower in the water at the rear. I assume this is due to the weight of the upper deck/slide.

Trim varies depending upon the load.

Saturday we had 8 full sized people (no small kids) on the boat. 4 of them wanted to sit on the front of the boat.

That was fine while fishing, but while under way, I'd simply tell different ones to sit in different places.

After a while, I just quit saying anything.

Water temp 67.

We're going to head to another fishing spot.

As we're making way, a ski boat goes by in front of us.

Bow heavy pontoon, big wake, windy Kansas day and 67 degree water.



Big wave of water splashes and soaks all four of them.

No problem the rest of the day with getting them to equal things up while moving.



So if your bow is up where you can't see, you're trimmed up too far.

Trim depending upon your load and speed.

That's why it's adjustable.

And yeah, a 250 hp motor, fuel, batteries and other stuff on the boat can make the back end sit lower than the front end.

Think of your toon as a teeter totter.

If you have all the weight in the front, it'll be bow heavy.

All the weight in the back and it'll be stern heavy.

Too much weight on either side will affect it Port or Starboard.

I should have mentioned that I have to trim it all the way down in order to travel flat even with just me or me and 1 other passenger on board (with that passenger in the front of the boat). I have posted some pics below of the boat at rest. Seems to sit with the weight way too far back. What would you recommend?

Motor is on second hole from the top currently.

I haven't hit anything, but the boat seems to me like it is sitting with the weight further back than it was last year. Perhaps there could be water in one of the logs?

What do you guys think?

Ii think that picture says it all, If you didn't read your boat description you wouldn't know it had a 2nd level, I think that's the reason trim works differently than on other boats. Trim it up a tiny bit and all that weight shifts just enough. I think it's the nature of the beast.
