Drain Holes in plastic seat bases

Hi,
I just got a used 2006 suntracker 21signature party barge and I'm redoing the vinyl. While pulling the seats I see allot of sitting water in the bases of the furniture. Any reason for me not to drill drain holes so the water runs. For now and into the future?
Thanx in advance,

Our Sun Tracker had a few drain holes drilled through from brand new. I ended up adding a few more holes in better locations as well as making the existing holes larger. In hindsight it might not have been the best thing for the plywood floor but then again there are worse things too.

I have the aluminum floor so no issue there.

Thanx everyone for your response.
As I said I am reupholstering the seats. So I’m going to drill drain holes that also align with the screws securing the seat backs so I can go through the hole with the long screwdriver and undo the seat backs and also have drain holes that will do double duty.
