I just purchased a 20' South Bay 220 CR with a 90HP Merc, an am getting about 24 MPH full throttle. Is this what I should be expecting, I thought I would get a bit more. Any input would be appreciated as this is my first pontoon. Thanks

That sounds about right.
90hp on a 21' (close to 21) boat isn't going to push it much more.
Weather (winds), water (chop), and weight (people, fuel, gear) will all play a role.
Couple of questions....
1 - What RPM are you turning at WOT (Wide Open Throttle)?
2 - How is it trimmed at WOT?
Since it is new then I assume your toons are clean. I used to keep mine in the water a lot and growth on the toons would knock my speed down by a good 15%.

Welcome to the forum! I have a 20 ft Premier with a 90hp 2 stroke and I get around 24 mph so it looks like you're right in line.

I think you're pretty close to being right on the money... I have a 20 footer with a 75 horse and I get about 23 to 24 at wot, which is right at 6K rpm.
