What do you all have for stereo set ups on your toons? Looking to put one into my new boat and looking for suggestions/recommendations and to see what is good bang for the buck.

Probably just some hidden bluetooth amp & an app on your phone.
Nobody listens to radio or CDs nowadays...

I'm specifically looking to put in a head unit, speakers, amp and subs. Most head units are Bluetooth capable now a days, or at least USB plug in capable.

I'm using the Rockford Fosgate PMX-2 as my source:
https://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-2/
I BT connect my phone to it and play Spotify. It does have FM that i use if the signal for the phone sucks and even has a weather band.
i used the Stinger 4 channel amp for my (4) Stinger 6.5" speakers
https://stingerelectronics.com/collecti ... -amplifier
https://stingerelectronics.com/collecti ... b-lighting
and i have the Stinger 2 channel amp to run my 10" sub when/if I put it in
https://stingerelectronics.com/collecti ... -amplifier
https://stingerelectronics.com/collecti ... -subwoofer
it sounds good, it will get loud if I want it to but for just chilling out on the pontoon it works great.

"Bang for the Buck" really just depends on how many bucks you have!
I also use Rockford Fosgate for my head unit, but I use the PMX-3. Same small form factor, but it adds native Pandora integration, and also has SiriusXM capability. if you get a cell signal the Pandora integration is great. It connects to the Pandora app on your phone via Bluetooth, but the head unit has a Pandora menu and controls, so you can just put the phone away. This headunit has a small amp built in, but I'm using a
I upgraded my original four speakers to Polk MM652
https://www.polkaudio.com/products/mm652
My amp is a Fusion 5 channel amp
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_917SG5160 ... l?tp=61752
and my sub is a Kicker Tube sub

My goal wasn't go have ground pounding sound that could be heard all the way across the lake. I wanted good CLEAN sound, with decent bass that I could play and hear easily while under cruising at about 35MPH. This system delivers that and it's more than plenty loud enough when we're just rafted up or beached somewhere.
I can't remember exactly what I paid for everything, but I think I'm all in somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000.

I simply bought a waterproof bluetooth speaker I can use on the pontoon and easily move to my Jetski (using pwc brackets .com). I prefer the Ultimate Ears MegaBoom line of speakers. Compact, easy to use, flexible (boat, Jetski, garage, tailgating, wherever) and durable. It runs about $200.
Hope this helps.

Same here.
I have an in-boat stereo system with bluetooth; but I prefer to just use my rechargeable Bose bluetooth speaker.
