Two things jumped out - "corrosion" and "parked in a slip". Corrosion should not be happening unless your boat is old, sitting in saltwater, and you don't have sacrificial anodes or the anodes are at the end of their life.
It is possible that your marina has a hot/exposed electrical line in the water. This is very dangerous. Google ESD (Electrical Shock Drowning).

I thought about that but our docks do not have electricity, that said we have a lot of large beater boats that could be leaking electricity.
