spring or suspension seats DIY

has anyone here done a diy spring or suspension seat? I had back surgery recently and I'd like to reduce the impacts on my back without spending the $600 per seat for the fancy store bought systems. The cheapest commercial system I have seen is the springfield 1840220 seat suspension system which costs about $140 canadian per seat but I'd like to spend much less than that per seat if I can as I have 6 seats to do.
