Hello all--
My best bud just picked up his new toon!
He ordered it and waited 3-4 months. We are in SoCal. Now we are starting to accessorize it, the fun stuff! His upgrades included: electric brakes on the single axle trailer, 75hp, and a boat cover.
Hoping some of you members, with the same or similar size toon, can make some recommendations on how he can spend his $$$!!!!
Toys he purchased so far:
Lowrance Elite FS 9"
Railblaza Rod Holders (8)
Fenders, dock lines, etc. (I still have some EZ fender line holders I purchased from a member here so we may use those)
He now wants:
1. 4 Bank battery charger (1 motor, 1 house, and 2 12V trolling motor batts). Where to mount?
2. Trolling motor. I am thinking a 24V due weight of boat and 3-4 passengers. Fish lakes and rivers and can encounter some wind.
Prefer Motorguide, as I have experience with them.
Where have some of you mounted the 2 12V batteries?
If in plastic battery boxes, did you drill through floor near boxes to run cables?
Where to mount the batteries... next to each other or one on each side of boat to balance weight?
3. Merc cable to connect motor to a NMEA network so he can display all motor data on FF. It's a $450 cable!!!
What else should be on his want list?
Thanks!
