"Narrow" pontoon boat lift

#1 Post by popcan » Fri Jul 14, 2023 10:29 am

Looking for your thoughts and opinions on the narrow style pontoon boat lifts.
It has beams that lift from between the logs, rather than under them.
I would be using it on a lake, which can get a good windstorm once in a while (gusts of maybe 40k), but the weather is mostly well-behaved.

My boat is small, only 18' and listed at 1700lbs.

Thanks for any input or insight!

Personally I would want mine supported from under the logs.
Logs were designed to support the deck, not sure the deck is designed to support the logs???
But I have seen some like your asking about. Maybe ask a toon dealer.
I am the guy at the boat ramp that gives you dirty looks when you are a complete idiot and too stupid to know it.
