decarbing, anyone?

While on the Marine Doctor site, a few folks referred to decarbing their motors. This involves, I suppose, removing old carbon deposits from the valves, cyl and other areas that cost a lot to fix. I don't know, and I doubt this has been done to my engine. I believe in taking care of my things that I work hard for, and want to make this 20 year old motor last as long as possible. Repair bills (and I've had many) are still less than making 60 or 72 new boat payments.
