New member. Just got my first pontoon. Suncruiser 24ft with a 115 Optimax Mercury. Sometimes i wish i went ahead and got the tri-toon.
Is there that much difference with the third log and a under shield. I can add it for about 1600.00. I thought about just shielding the bottom. Any body added the third log themselves.

You get more floatation and will sit higher in the water and pick up a few mile an hour, you got to remember your adding weight, skining the bottom will give you the few mph without the weight.

Thanks. Thats really all I'm after is a couple more MPH.

Keeps your deck harder too as the water isn't beating on it to start rot or from hitting the crossbeams and slowing you down, most people say it quieter
