Attaching New Seats
Those of you that have gotten new seats, how did you attach them to the deck?
PS doesn't send hardware to attach to deck. I was thinking lag bolts, but do I really need stainless if she is only on the water 40-50 days a year for 6 hours at time and then trailered home? With the new cover, troughs in the seat bases and fence risers I would think it will dry out much better.
Sorry Ed no Salt Water here.
What say you guys?

Re: Attaching New Seats
I seen some of the non SS screws I used and they went to crap in fresh water, so nothing but SS for me.

Re: Attaching New Seats
YES YES YES you need stainless its on the water it will corrode. I also think that all hardware should be stainless steel, and all wire should be soldered and shrink wrapped. Just my opinion and we all know about opinions.Craig I also bolted my seats together and only bolted the lounge chairs to the floor, they will get water in them so be sure to drill a drainhole in the base.

Re: Attaching New Seats
Well I posted on the PS forum too and looks like I may have overlooked some stainless screws in the bases...
I should have known they would take care of me.
There instructions say attaching hardware not included, but they do include them now appherently.

Re: Attaching New Seats
Yep, if you use non stainless hardware it'll corrode to hell (although slower in freshwater).
I'm sure GregF will argue over this.

When I recovered my seats a few years back, I found the manf. didn't use stainless screws on some of the parts and they looked like thisbadmoonrising wrote:Yep, if you use non stainless hardware it'll corrode to hell (although slower in freshwater).

Yeah Tracker used a few steel rivets on my boat (Hull ID tag and sliding door handle). Corroded to hell in a few seasons.

Stainless screws were in the bases! I guess I missed them. Ty from PS replied on their forum right away.
I checked 3 boxes and they were in there.
