Sorry to hear about your loss! I can't stand thieves! How can one hunter or fisherman do that to another? I'm sure the guy was trolling the campsites looking for potential victims. He had to have a saws all or serious bolt cutters to cut through that lock cable. I'm sure you're not his first victim and until he's caught you won't be his last. You could probably set up a sting and have the same setup as your last fishing trip and hide in the bushes while someone drives your boat off and catch him in the act.
