Re: Video - Riding down the river while filming with quadcopter
sure would be nice ....when posting that we would state what state the river is in.
I know you are in Louisiana, but a person could be floating down another state??

Re: Video - Riding down the river while filming with quadcopter
Man, that great video makes me a little homesick. My kids grew up waterskiing on the Blind River where I believe you shot this video. I really miss boating and finshing in those La bayous and rivers.
Great job! Thanks for sharing.

Loved the video, very smooth and great video quality. It would be awesome to have some footage of my boat cruising the lake like you are doing. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Back in the 70's I took some refinery vessels up blind river, Ponchatrain and lake Maurepas all the way to Airline highway. That's a beautiful place.
That is an awesome video, and you seem to have a handle on the operation of that quadcopter.
Thanks for the post!

The video was about five minutes long. How long does the quadcopter stay up? and how fast will it go?

Nice job!!! I fly RC helicopters and understand how you keep the aircraft in your sight,,, but how do you keep your boat in frame on the camera????

Saw your post over on phantom pilots. Nice vid and nice pilot skills. Had my V2+ for about 8 months now and practicing for our summer dune season.
Re: Video - Riding down the river while filming with quadcopter
With most quads, they are flown FPV (first person view) using a monitor or in most cases cell phone via a wifi link to the quad and you see what the camera on the quad sees. If you notice in the video he keeps looking down at the controller where the phone is clipped on to. It takes practice, but after a bit, it's easier to fly by FPV than line of sight.grouser wrote:Nice job!!!
