This is not our first boat so we already have anchors, life preservers, bumpers, and some other things. The next thing we need is a cover for storage. Those are not inexpensive either.

We went with the humminbird 597hd cdi . Great image, large color display , split screen.... not sure it can be beat for the money.

The 597HD isn't bad, but the screen is small compared to the "new" units on the market. We wanted the extra features of the iPilot link with the Minn Kotta trolling motor and the Side Imaging so opted for a bigger and better unit. In reality, the 597HD did pretty well for a basic fish finder and GPS.
