the new toon in its summer spot

I don't think I expected the back to sit so low in the water. Is this normal?

That does look a little low in the back. Hard to tell from the picture but is that a tri-toon or regular pontoon?

2 x pontoons. I have the engine up maybe that puts some weight higher up. Might also just be those runners down the side make it seem lower if it was just the pontoon you might not notice.

So On golden pond was filmed on Squam lake. about 7,000 acres, they made a great choice. It is the most beautiful and serene lake you can imagine. It's about 1/7th the size of winnipesuakee right up the street but so much less populated its like a different world. extremely rocky if you don't know where to go, sometimes tough even if you do. early morning is time for Loons, Eagles and osprey and moose in the coves. spring and fall are truly unbelievable. But anyway, your boat looks low but thats a big motor for a 20' 2 toon. someone with more experience will chime in, Im sure.

They did move filming to NH after the first few weeks because the cast complained but the book and movie is based on Great Pond in Belgrade Maine. I am right near there. Its a great spot. Great Pond is about 8,000 acres I am on a smaller pond up the road about 1800 acres.

its a nice area.

Our place was like On Golden Pond back in 1945 when my grandfather built a simple fish camp.

Now, we're wall to wall sea walls and houses for the most part. That glassy water now sloshes up against the seawalls like in a bathtub, and whitecaps are the norm.

But we didn't have a large supermarket and steakhouse 4 minutes away in 1945. And Lowes and Home Depot didn't exist. And the best thing now is that we don't have to visit the bootlegger to buy alcohol--no longer a dry county.

Belgrade is about an hour south of Bangor and several hours south of moosehead.

I love moose head if it was not a 6 hour drive from my house I would have bought a place up there.
