two questions, I'm sure the answers are here
Hello,
Im rebuilding the floor and putting new carpet on my 90 Lowe 20'.
There are three 4 x 8', but the board in the front is a 5 x 8. This presents a problem as that isn't available. I don't have a ton of mechanical ability to move the frame or weld or anything of that nature. So what's the solution?
Also, has anyone seen a wiring diagram for these boats for ease of disassembly?
Thanks for any help!

Maybe two 4x8's cut off to 5' and turned longways?
I don't know if manufacturers even have wiring diagrams to tell you the truth.
One thing is to sketch everything, label, and number it on your sketch and then get you some wire number tape to label the wires with. Also mark stuff with a sharpie as a fall back.

And this is the best generic wiring diagram I have seen. Don't remember where I found it. It's kind of intimidating lying on your back inside the console and looking up. This clearly explains the wiring to the helm switches.

During my rebuild I was going to fight all the old wiring and try to make it neat and workable. Finally said to Hell with it and ordered the wiring harness from PS. Best decision I made.curtiscapk wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 6:24 amor buy a new harness has almost all you need..

I can't argue that one! I eliminated the analog gauges during my rebuild and saved a ton of time not having to work with the old wiring. Had I used analog, I would definitely have gotten a new harness. If you factor your labor into the equation (as well as potential failures of old wiring), it just makes sense.TWB wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:30 amDuring my rebuild I was going to fight all the old wiring and try to make it neat and workable. probably to late to help but I just re-carpeted a Fisher 20' with a composite type deck by myself.
As many pictures and video that I took of the wiring block, I knew I would have problems
putting it back together.
So I did Not take the helm off. I took the hold down Lag screws out and then did an intial
laydow of the carpet. I cut of the carpet to the metal rod was about a 18" from the fence.
The space between the fence to the helm outside wall is about 6 inches.
When I glued it down, the cut seam was almost seamless.
Doing it myself I elvated the Helm with a couple of 4 x4s.
This is something I would never do again.
