My current boat is a 1990 Playcraft P-24
Started with a 50hp merc 3 cyl, now has a 135hp Johnson
Ive added a rear sun pad with storage on both sides of the engine bay.
I just picked up a 3rd u tube from a guy in Ohio, for $300 (I thought it was a fantastic deal)
Currently collecting pictures and information to take to the fab shop to have the transom added to the back.
The tube is 24' and I have decided to have the transom added on to the back to get the motor set back further to gain some more storage space.
All input and advise is welcom.

You are right 300 is a fantastic price. My insurance company paid about 8 times that for my port replacement toon.

I would love to have a hatch into the center toon and a 50 gal fuel tank but that may be a project for next winter. The main goal this winter is to get the tube built and get it on the water in spring to see how it goes. Id like to strakes on it right away but I would really like to do this step by step and evaluate each upgrade by itself.

There is no way for to get a pic of it but some distant lake friends have an old Lowe 24 and got a deal on a almost same toon with a near new 90 Honda. They removed the transom and one log of the donor boat and had the transom fitted to the donor log. The toon rides unbelievably level with a load of any old toon I have seen.

Thanks for the pictures. I have a good idea of how I would like to build mine. Now its off to the fab shop to get a quote then decide if I will pay to have it done or upgrade my current welder and build it myself.

I ended up with a medial meniscus tear in my left knee a few months ago, so I have been off my feet lately. Had surgery valentines day, and I am finally walking and able to start working again. I dropped the pontoon off that the local fab shop this morning. They are going to do a mock up of the transom this week, and give me a call to stop in and approve it before they burn it in.
I was going to have the fuel tank set in the center tube right away, but have decided to get the boat in the water to see how it sits before further mods are done.

Center tube should be done by next weekend, I'm always willing to wait if it saves a few bucks.
Until then I have plenty of wiring to do with the new helm and gauges.
My new tags came in the mail a few days ago. Found a guy in Virginia to make these for me.
