Re: NOT AGAIN!!!
Thanks for all the thoughts, but I'm not that concerned about it. I'd be more concerned, but since I had the leak last year, I know Voyager will fix it w/o a hassle. Also, the logs are foam filled, so I will probably wait until the season is over to fix it.
Counting all the a$$holes in the room Well I'm definitely not alone

Oh you have foam filled logs? great deal...I wish I had that in mine. It would be something I would have orderd if available when my boat was built. They get better and better every year.
good luck

Re: NOT AGAIN!!!
Closed cell foam does not absorb water. That's one of the popular myths against foam filled logs told by manufacturers to explain why they are too cheap to do it. Also, a log filled with foam and water floats significantly better than a log just filled with water. I've seen both.GregF wrote:Foam sounds great until it gets waterlogged

Re: NOT AGAIN!!!
What happens to the foam when you start welding on the log to repair it? I know most foam will burn or melt. Just wonder if you starts burning inside how can you put it out before it damaged the log?

I asked the welder the same question last time I had a leak. Fire is not a concern. You have to have oxygen for fire.hyper wrote:What happens to the foam when you start welding on the log to repair it? I know most foam will burn or melt.
