Greg - Random Question

My wife and I are driving down to Ft. Meyers tomorrow to pick up a puppy. We will have a couple hours to sightsee. Are there any must see spots? Is Sanibel Island a nice drive/sightseeing spot?

My MDO plywood was put in in 1989 (12 month boating in salt water) and it is still doing fine about 6000 hours on the water later. I bet you didn't seal all of the edges and penetrations.

Ron, I suppose it is what you like to see. Sanibel is great if you like to shop and look at quaint stores. If you want to go to the beach and have a beer Ft Myers Beach is more like what you are looking for. They probably have live music at the Lani Kai, just over the bridge bear left and it is a quarter mile down on the right. (big green building).
Both are on Summerlin Road (rt 884 exit off of 75 and turn left) Sanibel if you go to the end, Ft Myers beach is at the San Carlos rd flyover/overpass (bear right, turn left) go to the end and it drops you on the beach road.

If you are interested in Thomas Edison his house is here with a museum (go downtown).

You can also get to the beach on that road (McGreggor to San Carlos) but it is the scenic route.

If you find yourself in Estero (the town, not the island) I will buy you a beer. 992-4005

Fort Myers is a beautiful place Greg. We didn't have enough time to see much, but we are going to head back there someday. I'll have to take a raincheck on that beer. :drink4

We had enought time to grab lunch at the Parrot Key Caribbean Grill next to the Pirate Ship ride, and the Key West Express.
