Thanks again for all the replies, I may have to check out that umbrella from Sam's Club. I will be happy if it just don't blow away while I am sitting still, I don't have much faith in traveling at any

speed at all with it in the open position. Loyd, on a side note, my wife found a really nice pocket knife while wading between the islands out of Chicken Creek, normally the water would have been

probably 4-5 feet deep where she was wading. Also saw a really nice Colbalt runabout, probably around 25 foot at least, up on the rocks just south of Chicken Creek south ramp. Stopped up

at the Cookson dive shop ( they had recovered it) and it had torn the outdrive completely off and put a huge crack in the bottom of the boat towards the back, the owner of the shop said they

would probably total it for sure. It was around a 2007 with around 325 hours on it, it was a very nice boat.

I wonder if that winged top would fit on my frame?

Highly unlikely don't you think
On my last umbrella I replaced the top twice. They don't have to be exact, just close.

I do not have a picture but I mounted in the floor a good quality flanged vertical fishing rod holder. It is flush with the floor. I drilled the hole for it immediately adjacent to a cross rib below and used a c clamp to clamp the rod holder to the rib for strength. It easily handles an 8 ft umbrella and covers the forward area of my 19 footer. As an added benefit I have one of the inexpensive " drop over the umbrella " mosquito nets .
